A new alliance call from Bahçeli to the world! Jerusalem is at its center

03.11.2026 12:10

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, at his party's Grand National Assembly Group Meeting, called for the formation of a government in Israel that includes Arab parties as well, saying "The Jerusalem Alliance must be realized." Touching on violent incidents in Europe, Bahçeli argued that the seeds of discord Europe sowed with anti-immigrant sentiment and Islamophobia have begun to come back to it. Bahçeli also welcomed the approval of the memorandum of understanding between Turkey and Libya.

MHP leader Bahçeli made assessments on many issues at the weekly group meeting in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), from the 103rd anniversary of the Republic to the protests in Europe, and from the Israel elections to the Terror-Free Türkiye process.

“HE HAS WRITTEN THE SECOND ERGENEKON EPIC”

Starting his speech with the 103rd anniversary of the Republic, Bahçeli said, “In the process leading to the Republic, the Turkish nation, lining up rank by rank behind Mustafa Kemal Pasha and his heroic comrades-in-arms, wrote the second Ergenekon epic of Turkish history in Anatolia.”

“MHP IS THE REPUBLIC’S EYE LOOKING TO THE FUTURE”

Emphasizing that his party has an understanding that protects the Republic’s gains, Bahçeli said, “The Nationalist Movement Party is the Republic’s eye looking to the future, the mind comprehending tomorrows, and the will advancing at a run toward the future.”

“TERROR WILL END, BROTHERHOOD WILL RISE”

Stating that the vision of a Terror-Free Türkiye and a Terror-Free Region has historic importance, Bahçeli also addressed his political rivals. Bahçeli said, “Let our political rivals swim laps in the waters, let them continue. Let them imagine that muddying the waters with various smears and distortions is so-called politics. The Turkish nation has made its decision. Terror will end, brotherhood will rise, and peace and tranquility will, God willing, prevail in our region.”

TURKIC STATES ORGANIZATION SUMMIT

Also touching on the 13th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States held in Ankara, Bahçeli said he believed that the areas of cooperation in the 167-item final declaration would contribute to the peace, security, and prosperity of the member states.

“THE SEEDS OF DISCORD SOWN BY EUROPE HAVE BEGUN TO RETURN TO THEM”

Recalling that the protests that began in France and spread to other European countries turned into violent acts in a short time, Bahçeli said they expect the European Union to remind the member states of its sensitivity on fundamental rights and freedoms. Bahçeli said, “The seeds of discord sown by Europe, which has long been pursuing political gain by carrying anti-migrant sentiment, Islamophobia, and Turkophobia, have begun to return to them.”

“IT NO LONGER HAS THE STRENGTH TO PEDAL”

Arguing that Europe is losing power in global competition, Bahçeli recalled the saying, “Europe is like a bicycle; it must move forward, if it stops it falls.” Bahçeli said, “For it appears that Europe no longer has the strength to pedal.”

Advising the EU to focus on its own economic and social problems instead of questioning Turkey’s steps within the scope of its sovereign rights, Bahçeli recorded the following:

“When Turkey’s request for permanent membership is ignored with flimsy excuses, I would remind you that Europe will have neither the time nor the opportunity to straighten up again.”

“LIBYA AGREEMENT IS SATISFACTORY”

Evaluating the approval by the Libyan House of Representatives of the Memorandum of Understanding on the delimitation of maritime jurisdiction areas between Turkey and Libya, Bahçeli said this development was “satisfactory.” Bahçeli argued that the memorandum does not prejudice any country’s rights or international law.

“IT IS NOT EUROPE’S PLACE”

Claiming that Greece, the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus, Israel, and the EU are disturbed by this development, Bahçeli spoke as follows:

“All officials in Brussels must understand that wagging a finger at Turkey, which has the power and will to make and implement decisions in a fully independent manner and solely in line with its own interests, setting a direction for it, and giving it instructions on what it can and cannot do, is not Europe’s place any more than it is anyone else’s.”

MECCA AGREEMENT AND BADR MEMORANDUM

Bahçeli stated that the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement signed on August 7, 2026, between Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia would increase trust and solidarity among the parties. Recalling that the agreement is on the TBMM agenda for ratification, Bahçeli noted that with the Badr Memorandum signed on October 21 in Doha between Turkey, Qatar, Pakistan, and Indonesia, this cooperation gained a firmer ground.

“JERUSALEM ALLIANCE MUST BE REALIZED”

Stating that no party could obtain the majority to form a government in the Israel elections, Bahçeli said he found it noteworthy that Arab parties achieved a strong position. Bahçeli argued that the formation of a government that also includes Arab parties would be a historic step for Israeli politics.

Expressing that US President Donald Trump’s and international Jewish organizations’ support for such a government would contribute to regional peace, Bahçeli said the following:

“In our view, the opportunity to form a new government in which Arab parties are also represented, one that will strengthen social reconciliation and the will to live together in peace, must be seized, and the Jerusalem Alliance must be realized.”

“TURKEY-IRAQ RELATIONS WILL BE CARRIED TO A MORE ADVANCED POINT”

Stating that the Iraqi Prime Minister’s statement on gathering weapons under state control indicates that the Terror-Free Region goal will bear fruit, Bahçeli said that with the Development Road Project, relations between the two countries would be carried to a much more advanced point. Bahçeli congratulated those who contributed, especially President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, for the successes in diplomacy.

“THE DUTY OF POLITICS IS NOT TO PROVOKE BUT TO UNITE”

Continuing his criticism of the opposition at the end of his speech, Bahçeli argued that calling society to the streets with irresponsible rhetoric would endanger the nation’s common future. Bahçeli said, “Trying to turn the streets into addresses of tension and conflict cannot be a matter of politics. The duty of politics is not to provoke but to unite. Not to polarize but to embrace.”

Emphasizing that purification and vindication in politics is an unpostponable necessity, Bahçeli said, “It is time to leave behind corruption, pollution, and all burdens weighing on politics.”
