The Ministry of Health has made a new regulation to ensure corporate integrity in the clothing of healthcare workers. The updated "Corporate Identity Guide" was prepared to strengthen visual integrity in healthcare services, ensure that citizens encounter the same quality understanding at every point, and reinforce the corporate perception.
According to the new guide, nurses will wear navy blue, and midwives will wear plum-colored clothing. Additionally, all healthcare workers will be provided with clothing free of charge.
COLORS DETERMINED ACCORDING TO PROFESSION GROUPS
According to the new guide published by the ministry, the clothing colors of healthcare workers are determined as follows based on their job groups:
- Clinical pharmacists: White
- Nurses: Navy blue
- Responsible nurses: Navy blue with a white stripe on the collar
- Midwives: Plum
- Responsible midwives: Plum with a white stripe on the collar
- Clinical psychologists, physiotherapists, audiologists, dietitians, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, health physicists, perfusionists: Burgundy
- Psychologists, biologists, child development specialists: Brown
- Surgical staff: Green
- Patient reception and guidance staff: Suit (women will have a ministry logo scarf, men will have a logo tie)
Thus, both the area of responsibility of healthcare personnel can be easily distinguished, and a uniform visual identity will be created in all institutions.
"WE AIMED FOR A SINGLE STANDARD FOR LOGOS AND SIGNS"
In statements regarding the new regulation, Deputy Minister of Health Yasin Erkoç reported that the standards introduced by the Corporate Identity Guide will be applied in all healthcare institutions affiliated with the Ministry.
Erkoç stated, "We did not carry out this work at a desk but in collaboration with the field. Together with the field, we redefined all our visual standards. Just as you can understand that it is a hospital when you see the letter 'H', we aimed for all logos and signs belonging to the Ministry of Health to be at a single standard across Turkey."
Erkoç noted that this regulation was implemented within the framework of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's vision of a "Healthy Turkey Century."
Deputy Minister Erkoç emphasized that the same visual and communication language will be used in all 81 provinces.
Erkoç stated, "There were difficulties in communicating with our citizens. People had no chance to know who the doctor was, who the nurse was, and who the technician was. This created communication problems. In this sense, we brought all clothing to a certain standard."
Erkoç indicated that thanks to the new regulation, the identity of personnel working in healthcare institutions can be visually distinguished more clearly.
CLOTHING WILL BE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE
The ministry announced that the clothing of healthcare workers will be provided without any charge.
Erkoç said the following regarding the issue:
"None of the clothing will be charged. As the Ministry of Health, we will provide clothing to all our employees free of charge starting from January 1, 2026. From June 1, 2026, the use of these clothing will also become mandatory."
