The Ministry of Trade has expanded the scope of the Electronic Advertisement Verification System (EİDS). As of June 16, 2025, authorization verification has become mandatory for all vehicle advertisements. Now, only the vehicle owner, their first and second-degree relatives, their spouse, or authorized dealerships will be able to post advertisements.
The Ministry of Trade announced that the scope of the Electronic Advertisement Verification System (EAVS), which requires identity and authorization verification in vehicle advertisements, has been expanded. In a statement made through the Ministry's official X account, it was noted that as of June 16, 2025, the EAVS authorization verification step will be mandatory for all vehicle advertisements.
UNAUTHORIZED PERSONS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ADVERTISE
With the EAVS application, vehicle advertisements can only be made by the vehicle owner, their first and second-degree relatives, their spouse, or authorized dealerships. The aim is to prevent unauthorized individuals from posting advertisements.
APPLICATION STARTED IN NOVEMBER 2023
To prevent fake advertisements, unregistered activities, and speculative price formations, the Ministry made a regulatory change on August 31, 2023, which imposed identity and authorization verification obligations on advertisement platforms. In the first phase, identity verification started on November 1, 2023, and the second phase, which is authorization verification, was implemented on April 7, 2025, only for vehicle advertisements of model years 2023, 2024, and 2025.
In its statement, the Ministry of Trade said, "Our efforts to prevent speculative price formations and consumer grievances in the automotive market and to establish a fair and stable market structure continue resolutely."
The Ministry's statement included the following expressions:
"As the Ministry of Trade, our work continues uninterrupted to prevent false, misleading, or fake vehicle advertisements published through memberships with unknown identities on advertisement platforms that provide services in electronic environments, to eliminate advertisement pollution, and to prevent unregistered dealership activities without authorization. With the regulatory change made on August 31, 2023, by our Ministry to prevent fake vehicle advertisements, speculative price increases, and consumer grievances in the automotive sector, an obligation for identity and authorization verification has been imposed on advertisement platforms. To ensure the implementation of these obligations, the Electronic Advertisement Verification System (EAVS) has been established by our Ministry. In this context, thanks to the integration of advertisement platforms with the EAVS, identity verification has been conducted in vehicle advertisements since November 1, 2023, and individuals who do not verify their identity have been prevented from posting advertisements through the platforms.
The second phase of the EAVS, which is authorization verification, was implemented on April 7, 2025, only for vehicle advertisements of model years 2023, 2024, and 2025. As of June 16, 2025, the EAVS authorization verification application has become mandatory for all vehicle advertisements. Thus, with the EAVS authorization verification application, advertisements can only be made by authorized dealerships with authorization documents designated by the vehicle owner or by the vehicle owner, their first and second-degree relatives, and their spouse, and unauthorized individuals will not be able to enter advertisements. As the Ministry of Trade, we are resolutely continuing our activities aimed at preventing speculative price formations and consumer grievances in the automotive market and establishing a fair, competitive, and stable market structure in the sector. We respectfully announce this to the public."
