As part of the 4th Judicial Reform Strategy Document, a series of rule changes have been made to combat cyber crimes. One of these changes is the restriction on the use of mobile phone lines. Accordingly, Turkish citizens can now have a maximum of 3 mobile communication lines, while foreigners can have a maximum of 1.
New obligations for mobile operators were also included in the 4th Judicial Reform Strategy Document. Within the scope of these obligations, the establishment of phone subscriptions will be subject to strict rules by applying certain identity verification methods for the purpose of preventing crimes. With the new regulations in the Judicial Reform Strategy Document, all phone subscription records will be updated, and lines whose subscription records are not updated within the specified period will be disconnected.
