Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the war has entered a new phase, noting that Iran's old missile stockpiles have been depleted and that attacks, particularly against Israel and U.S. forces in the region, may increase with the advanced "Kheibar Shekan-4" missiles from now on.
The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, stated in his announcement that the ongoing conflicts in the region have entered a new phase, indicating a significant change in Iran's military strategy. Pezeshkian expressed that Iran has used its old missile stockpiles in the attacks carried out so far, but these stocks have largely been depleted.
"WE HAVE ENTERED A NEW PHASE IN WAR"
Pezeshkian noted that in the upcoming period, Iran's more advanced military technology will be reflected on the battlefield, stating, "We have entered a new phase of war. Tehran has exhausted its old missile stockpiles, and now the true technology of the Islamic Republic will emerge."
The Iranian leader emphasized that attacks on targets, particularly in the Persian Gulf and the Middle East, could increase, stating that missile systems referred to as "Kheibar Shekan-4" will be used in the new era. Pezeshkian mentioned that these missiles could specifically target Israel and American military elements stationed in the region.
TENSION IN WAR HAS INCREASED SIGNIFICANTLY
Recently, mutual attacks and harsh statements between Iran and Israel have heightened tensions in the region. Israel's operations against Iran-linked targets and Iran's missile and drone attacks in response have brought the security balance in the Middle East back to the forefront of the agenda.
The U.S. continues to strengthen its military presence in the region. The Washington administration has increased defense measures for both Israel and its military bases in the Gulf against potential attacks that may come from Iran.
KHEIBAR SHEKAN-4 FEATURES
Kheibar Shekan-4 (or Kheibar / Khorramshahr-4 family) is one of the medium-range ballistic missile systems developed by Iran. Here are its prominent technical features:
Basic features
Range: Approximately 1,450 km (some assessments suggest it could reach up to 1,800–2,000 km)
Fuel type: Solid-fuel rocket motor (faster firing and preparation time)
Length: Approximately 11.4 meters
Weight: Approximately 6.3 tons
Warhead: Approximately 500–550 kg high explosive
Speed: Around Mach 2–3 upon entering the atmosphere (very high speed)
Military capabilities
Thanks to its maneuverable warhead, it has the capability to evade missile defense systems.
It can be launched from mobile launch vehicles (truck platform), making it harder to detect.
Higher accuracy is targeted thanks to satellite and inertial guidance systems.
Using lighter composite materials allows for faster preparation and launch.
Strategic impact
With this range, Israel, some U.S. bases in the Middle East, Gulf countries, and targets in the Eastern Mediterranean fall within the area that Iran can strike.
