"LET'S GIVE THE GOOD NEWS"
Our President declared a mobilization for urban transformation throughout Turkey in 2012. We have built 1 million 481 thousand social housing units. Currently, the construction of 312 thousand social housing units, excluding earthquake housing, is still ongoing.
"WE OFFER AN INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY WITHOUT A DOWN PAYMENT IN EMLAK KONUT PROJECTS"
The Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Murat Kurum, announced that in addition to the social housing campaign for low-income citizens, Emlak Konut will also announce a new campaign for other income groups tomorrow. Kurum continued his speech as follows: We are launching another campaign with our Emlak Konut that will increase the sector's activity. Just as we provide housing to low-income citizens with suitable payment options, in this campaign, we are offering Emlak Konut projects to citizens in other income groups as a profitable investment opportunity with either low down payment or no down payment. Our campaign, which will start tomorrow, will be announced by Emlak Konut this week with all its details. I wish all our efforts to be beneficial for our nation and our sector.
"201 THOUSAND HOUSES AND WORKPLACES DELIVERED TO DISASTER VICTIMS"
"The earthquake zone has now become the largest construction site in the world. I would like to thank all our sector representatives, the workers, laborers, architects, and engineers working there, and on behalf of our earthquake-affected citizens, on behalf of our nation. In 11 of our provinces, in 4333 villages, there are 174 separate areas, and 3481 construction sites, which is no small feat... We continue to work day and night at these construction sites. We have delivered a total of 201 thousand houses and workplaces to disaster-affected citizens. We will reach a total of 453 thousand housing units and workplaces. We will reunite all our earthquake-affected brothers with their homes. No state could have carried out such a large organization.
MURAT KURUM'S REACTION TO TÜSİAD
It will contribute to the happiness of our brothers by returning the Turkish Islamic cities to their former beautiful days. While such great goals should be set, and while it should contribute to production and employment, we see some civil society organizations that point fingers at politics. As a state, we are united and together with all our civil society organizations that are concerned about growing Turkey. We know TÜSİAD's history very well. We know what they have done before, we know their habits. That period has closed a quarter of a century ago. Therefore, everyone should focus on today's strong Turkey, not the weak Turkey of a quarter of a century ago. Here, we are demonstrating our belief in a great and strong Turkey by coming together with our construction sector and our valuable unions and chambers. In this regard, I thank all organizations that put their hands under the stone for the future of the country.
