In a statement from the ministry, it was reported that the Russian Ambassador to Baku, Mikhail Yevdokimov, was summoned to the ministry and was given a note due to the statements of Russian MP Zatulin.
VERY STRONG REACTION TO RUSSIAN MP
The statement noted that Zatulin's remarks against Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity and his support for separatism were unacceptable, and it was conveyed to Ambassador Yevdokimov that this stance was condemned in the strongest terms.
During the meeting, it was expressed that necessary measures should be taken by Russia to put an end to the destructive activities of individuals like Zatulin, who are trying to harm peace and stability in the region, as well as Azerbaijan-Russia relations.

Zatulin, known for his anti-Azerbaijani views, had criticized the life sentences imposed on the former political and military leaders of the so-called Armenian administration in Karabakh.
