A passenger bus traveling from Bodrum to Van rolled off a cliff in the Akçadağ district of Malatya. 22 people were injured in the accident.
The passenger bus that was traveling from Bodrum to Van rolled over and tipped over near Doğanlar Mahallesi in Akçadağ district of Malatya.
THERE ARE 3 SERIOUSLY INJURED AND 11 INJURED
Upon notification, a large number of health, gendarmerie, police, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area. 11 passengers were injured in the accident, 3 of them seriously. The injured were taken to hospitals in Malatya by ambulances.

In the last 5 years, there have been 1,347 fatal and injury traffic accidents in intercity passenger transportation. The number of fatal and injury accidents has increased by 67% in the last 5 years. While there were 218 bus accidents in 2020, a total of 364 fatal and injury traffic accidents occurred in 2023. The increase between the years was calculated as 67%.

According to the information obtained from the General Command of Gendarmerie, the number of fatal and injury intercity bus accidents over the years has been determined. Accordingly, in 2020, there were 218 accidents, in 2021, 252 intercity bus accidents occurred. In 2022, there were 333 accidents, in 2023, 364 accidents, and in the January-July period of 2024, there were 180 fatal and injury bus accidents.
