A 5-month pregnant woman was injured after falling from an electric bicycle in the Kartepe district of Kocaeli. The ambulance transporting the injured woman collided with a light commercial vehicle. Despite all interventions, the pregnant woman and her baby lost their lives after being taken to the hospital by another ambulance.
At around 16:30, Malika Gadeova, who is 5 months pregnant, fell from an electric bicycle at the traffic lights in the Kartepe district of Kocaeli. Health teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. The health teams that provided first aid to the injured person transported her to the hospital by ambulance.
AMBULANCE COLLIDED WITH A LIGHT COMMERCIAL VEHICLE
The ambulance with the license plate 41 ANG 584, under the control of H.D., collided with a light commercial vehicle with the license plate 41 AYD 947, driven by M.N.K., at the traffic lights. Upon notification, many ambulances, police, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene. The health teams, which arrived at the scene shortly, first took the pregnant woman to the hospital by ambulance. The injured ambulance driver, 2 emergency medical technicians, and M.N.K.'s mother, the driver of the light commercial vehicle, were taken on a stretcher by the health teams and transported to the hospital. M.N.K. was rescued by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department teams and handed over to the health teams. The 5 injured individuals were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
PREGNANT WOMAN AND HER BABY LOST THEIR LIVES
The injured Malika Gadeova, who was in the ambulance, was first taken to a private hospital and then transferred to Kocaeli City Hospital. Despite all the interventions, Gadeova and her baby could not be saved.
