Adra stated that the film reflects the painful reality that their Palestinian brothers have endured for many years, saying, "We call for serious steps to stop the injustice and halt the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people."
The Israeli director Yuval Abraham said, "When I look at Basel, I see my brother, but we are not equal." He continued, "While I live freely, Basel lives under laws he cannot control." Abraham also mentioned that the U.S. foreign policy has hindered positive developments in this regard.
Abraham concluded his words by saying, "If the Palestinian people are truly free and safe, then my people can truly be safe. There is another way. It is not too late for life, for those who are living."
