A fire that broke out in a fuel-oil tanker on the Şanlıurfa-Gaziantep Highway was extinguished before it could spread, thanks to the quick intervention of gendarmerie teams. The teams that arrived at the scene made the first response to the fire, which started in the wheel area of the tanker, preventing a potential disaster. No loss of life or injuries occurred in the incident.
A fire broke out in a fuel-oil tanker traveling on the Şanlıurfa-Gaziantep Highway, causing brief panic. The incident occurred near the Keskince neighborhood of Birecik district.
GENDARMES INTERVENED IMMEDIATELY
Upon receiving a report during patrol duty, teams from the Şanlıurfa Provincial Gendarmerie Command were directed to the area and quickly intervened in the fire that started in the right rear wheel section of the tanker.
The teams used fire extinguishers to bring the flames under control, preventing the fire from spreading to other parts of the tanker.
A POTENTIAL DISASTER WAS AVERTED
After the fire was brought under control, firefighting teams dispatched to the scene carried out cooling operations.
No loss of life or injuries occurred in the fire on the fuel-oil loaded tanker, and a potential disaster was prevented thanks to the timely intervention of the gendarmerie teams.
