A red notice has been issued for Umut Altaş, the fugitive suspect in the Gülistan Doku investigation. It is believed that Altaş went to Mexico in 2022 and then illegally crossed into the United States from there.
An important development has occurred in the investigation regarding university student Gülistan Doku, who went missing in Tunceli. A red notice has been issued by Interpol for the suspect Umut Altaş, who has been determined to be abroad.
11 SUSPECTS HAD BEEN ARRESTED
The Tunceli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued detention orders for some suspects as part of the investigation conducted on April 14. While 11 people were arrested within the scope of the investigation, it was determined that the suspect Umut Altaş was abroad.
INTERNATIONAL PROCESS INITIATED
The Ministry of Justice has initiated the official process for Altaş's temporary arrest and search with a red notice. The General Directorate of Security's Interpol-Europol Department informed relevant countries, primarily the USA and Mexico, that Altaş is wanted for the crime of "intentional murder."
INTERPOL GOT INVOLVED
Following the notifications, procedures were initiated with Interpol, and a red notice was issued for Umut Altaş. It has been learned that Altaş has been added to the list of internationally wanted suspects.
THOUGHT TO HAVE FLED TO THE USA
It is believed that the suspect Altaş went to Mexico in 2022 and then crossed into the USA illegally. Security units are continuing their efforts to capture Altaş.
