The investigation regarding the fire that occurred on June 20 in the Köksalan and Bağacık neighborhoods of the Çınar district in Diyarbakır, and the Yücebağ and Yetkinler neighborhoods of the Mazıdağı district in Mardin, which resulted in the death of 15 people, injuries to 78 individuals, the loss of 924 small livestock, injuries to 273 animals (83 of which were severe), and damage to approximately 15,000 decares of agricultural land, is ongoing. A NEW EXPERT REPORT HAS BEEN PREPAREDAs part of the investigation conducted by the Çınar Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a 9-member expert committee was formed for the expert report requested from the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The report prepared as a result of the examinations and research conducted by the experts in the committee has been completed. WHY THERE WERE NO ELECTRIC LINESIn the report sent to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office conducting the investigation and added to the case file, it was stated that the short circuit caused by the breakage of the low voltage line belonging to Dicle Electricity in the courtyard of Ahmet B's house in the Köksalan neighborhood led to a haystack fire, which was brought under control and extinguished by a firefighter before it spread to the surrounding area. It was noted that this fire did not spread to other fire-affected areas, and short circuit traces were detected on the sample conductor taken from the line that caused this fire in the criminal laboratory. In the detailed report prepared in light of the findings and evaluations, along with the statements taken, the inspection report, the crime scene investigation reports, and the criminal report, it was recorded in the three sections of the report that there was no electric energy in the lines, thus indicating that there was no possibility of the fire originating from electric current leakage, short circuit, or sparks. The report stated that the fire started around the Köksalan neighborhood.
