Following a report in Bursa that a 5-year-old child was left on the highway, police, AFAD, and search and rescue teams launched a large-scale search. Despite all efforts, no evidence was found, and the report was determined to be false.
The report of "a 5-year-old child left on the roadside of the highway" that came to the 112 Emergency Call Center in Bursa put the teams on alert. Upon the report that a child around 5 years old was left from a vehicle on the Bursa-Izmir Highway in the Nilüfer district, police, AFAD, and search and rescue teams were mobilized.
In Bursa, during the morning hours, upon the report that a person left a child around 5 years old on the roadside of the Bursa-Izmir Highway in the Nilüfer district, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the specified address. The teams arriving at the scene quickly did not encounter any child during their initial inspections of the roadside and surroundings. Subsequently, the search was expanded, and the highway surroundings were thoroughly taken under control.
AFAD DEPLOYED
Considering a possible scenario, AFAD search and rescue teams were also directed to the area. AFAD teams, along with IHAKUT teams, scanned the highway line and its surroundings from the air over an area of approximately 5 kilometers using drone support. Meanwhile, ground teams also searched the roadsides, ditches, and connection roads. Following comprehensive efforts and all checks, no evidence was found, and the report turned out to be false.
