Serie A team Cagliari's €6 million transfer offer for the permanent signing of Semih Kılıçsoy, whom they initially acquired on loan at the start of the season, was rejected by Beşiktaş's management as laughable. The black-and-whites intend to continue with the 20-year-old striker next season.
While the new season squad planning continues at full speed in Beşiktaş, a new development has occurred regarding the future of young star Semih Kılıçsoy. The Italian representative has taken action for the 20-year-old striker, who was loaned to Serie A side Cagliari at the beginning of the season.
RIDICULOUS OFFER FROM CAGLIARI
According to reports in the Italian press; the contract signed between Cagliari and Beşiktaş at the start of the season included a purchase option of 12 million Euros for Semih Kılıçsoy. However, the Italian club found this amount too high and approached Beşiktaş with a request for a "discount." It was reported that Cagliari's management made an offer of 6 million Euros, half of the option price, for the national player, and this offer was found ridiculous and met with astonishment by Beşiktaş.
SERGEN YALÇIN DOES NOT WANT HIM TO LEAVE
While Beşiktaş's management rejected this low offer without hesitation; head coach Sergen Yalçın's report was also influential in the decision. It was emphasized that Yalçın, who held a meeting with the management, stated, "Semih is a player with potential. It is impossible for us to replace someone of his quality for a sum like 6 million Euros," and requested that the player remain with the team.
ROUTE BACK TO BEŞİKTAŞ
If Cagliari does not exercise the current purchase option of 12 million Euros, Semih Kılıçsoy will return to Beşiktaş for the summer camp.
