Burhan alleged that İYİ Party Gaziantep Deputy Mehmet Mustafa Gürban will soon resign from his party and join the AK Party ranks. According to the claim, Gürban's AK Party badge will be personally pinned by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan immediately after the historic NATO Leaders' Summit in Ankara.

Journalist Sinan Burhan claimed during a broadcast on tv100 that İYİ Party Gaziantep Deputy Mehmet Mustafa Gürban will soon resign from his party and join the AK Party ranks.

Burhan announced his claim with the words, "Unless there is an error in my information from parliamentary sources, I have information that İYİ Party Gaziantep Deputy Mehmet Mustafa Gürban will resign from his party and move to the AK Party in the coming weeks, after the NATO Summit."

10 DEPUTIES HAD ALREADY SWITCHED FROM İYİ PARTY TO AK PARTY

The first name to switch from İYİ Party to AK Party was Manisa Deputy Tamer Akkal. Later, Antalya Deputy Tuba Vural Çokal, Balıkesir Deputy İsmail Ok, and Eskişehir Deputy Nebi Hatipoğlu joined the AK Party. İstanbul Deputy Seyithan İzsiz, Konya Deputy Ünal Karaman, İstanbul Deputy Ersagun Yücel, Ankara Deputy Kürşad Zorlu, and Kayseri Deputy Dursun Ataş were also among those who switched to the AK Party in 2024. With Ersin Beyaz also joining the AK Party last month, the number of deputies switching from İYİ Party to the ruling party had risen to 10.
