Intelligence reports that the Chinese military secretly trained approximately 200 Russian soldiers in the use of unmanned aerial vehicles have alarmed Berlin. Germany's Foreign Ministry summoned the Chinese ambassador to Berlin for an emergency meeting, issuing a strong diplomatic protest. In a statement, the ministry said, "Any support that enables Russia to continue its war is a direct threat to our security."

It has been reported that China's Ambassador to Berlin, Deng Hongbo, was summoned to the German Foreign Ministry over reports of Russian soldiers being trained in China.

"ANY SUPPORT FOR RUSSIA IS A THREAT TO OUR SECURITY"

According to local media reports, Germany has shown its diplomatic response to Beijing following allegations that China is providing military support to Russia.

In a statement from the Foreign Ministry to German media, it was stated that reports of Chinese state institutions, especially the Chinese Armed Forces, providing support to Russia are "extremely concerning."

The statement included the phrases, "Russia is the greatest threat to Euro-Atlantic security. Any support that enables Russia to continue its war of aggression against Ukraine is also a threat to our security."

It was emphasized that China's "determined and increasing support" for Russia directly concerns Germany's security as well.

Diplomatic sources stated that summoning China's Ambassador to Berlin for an "urgent meeting" constitutes a strong diplomatic protest, even if it is not in the form of a formal note.

ALLEGATION: "CHINESE MILITARY SECRETLY TRAINED APPROXIMATELY 200 RUSSIAN SOLDIERS"

In reports by German media citing European intelligence services, it was alleged that the Chinese military secretly trained approximately 200 Russian soldiers late last year.

It was claimed that some of the soldiers, who primarily received training on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), were later sent to the front in Ukraine.

It was noted that the intelligence findings included in the report, which the German government is also said to possess, contradict Beijing's official statements that it remains neutral in the Ukraine war and does not provide military support to Russia.
