In Kayseri, a person who set fire to his father's electric wheelchair—who has difficulty walking—left everyone in shock. The grieving father, stating that his son had previously stolen and sold household items, appealed to authorities for help, protesting the situation.
In the incident that occurred in a 3-story building located on 10th Street, Mevlana District, Kocasinan district, a person claimed to be a drug addict set fire to his father's vital vehicle without mercy.
ELECTRIC WHEELCHAIR TURNED TO ASH
According to the claim, A.Ö. set fire to the electric wheelchair belonging to his father C.Ö., who has difficulty walking, for an unknown reason. Upon neighbors noticing the flames and smoke, police and fire teams were quickly dispatched to the scene.
While police teams took security measures around the area, fire teams intervened in the burning electric wheelchair. Although the fire was extinguished after a short intervention, the electric wheelchair was completely burned and rendered unusable, essentially turning to ash. Police teams launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
"HE STEALS AND SELLS ITEMS AT HOME"
The grieving father C.Ö., expressing that his son constantly harms his family and surroundings, claimed that previously electronic items at home were stolen and sold for a pittance by his son. Stating that A.Ö. remains quiet towards people outside but oppresses his own family, C.Ö. called out to authorities for help.
GRIEVING FATHER'S REBELLION: LET THEM TAKE HIM FROM ME
The father C.Ö., stating he had previously filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office, expressed his rebellion with the following words, wanting his son to be caught:
"I performed my prayer, I was reading a book. He came, I gave him his tobacco. I have my electric wheelchair; he set it on fire and left. I had already submitted my petition to the prosecutor's office. He harms my family. He had broken my windows before. He causes problems for us here, but he doesn't have the courage to say anything to someone he doesn't know. He can't speak up against someone outside, but he harms the family. He does it to my children. He takes items from my home and sells them. There were televisions at home. He took them and sold them. He took my landline phone and our cell phones and sold them. For example, he takes a product worth 2,000 TL and sells it for 100 TL. Let the authorities catch my son as soon as possible and do whatever they will do. Let them take him from me. Whether they imprison him or whatever they do, let them do it."
