40 local media outlets affiliated with the Turkish Press Federation (TÜBAF) will bring the coup attempt and the nation's democracy struggle to the screens with special broadcasts on the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
The Turkish Press Federation (TÜBAF) made a meaningful call on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. Forty local media organizations affiliated with the federation will bring the coup attempt and the nation's struggle for democracy to viewers through special broadcasts on July 15.
In a statement from the federation, it was said, “July 15 is a day etched in golden letters in our history, when the Turkish nation demonstrated to the entire world its determination to protect democracy, independence, and national will.”
The statement noted that local media organizations broadcasting in Anatolia will once again remind the public of the coup attempt targeting Turkish democracy and the people's resistance to protect the elected will through special broadcasts on this meaningful day, emphasizing that the aim is to keep the spirit of the struggle alive in social memory through the broadcasts within the scope of “July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.”
Turkish Press Federation President Sinan Burhan, in his assessment, stated that they have been conducting special broadcasts every year to raise awareness about the nation's resistance on July 15 and to ensure this meaningful day is not forgotten, adding that they remember the martyrs with mercy and will not forget the July 15 betrayal.
Burhan said that on the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, they will once again bring this important day to the forefront most powerfully through special broadcasts.
