In a speech at the Madrid Regional Assembly, left-wing politician Manuela Bergerot from Spain strongly criticized politicians who justify the attacks by the US and Israel on Iran under the pretext of "women's rights." Bergerot referred to the attack on the girls' school in Minab, which resulted in the deaths of 153 girls, and described the portrayal of civilian deaths as "good news for feminism" as "despicable."
Manuela Bergerot, spokesperson for the left-wing Más Madrid party in Spain, strongly reacted to right-wing politicians who defended the military attacks by the US and Israel on Iran under the pretext of "women's rights" during her speech at the Madrid Regional Assembly.
REMEMBERING THE 153 GIRLS WHO WERE KILLED
Bergerot recalled that a girls' school was bombed during the attacks and that 153 girls lost their lives, expressing that it was "despicable" for some politicians to describe this situation as "wonderful news in the name of feminism."
"I oppose these attacks precisely because I am a feminist woman," said Bergerot, emphasizing that women's rights cannot be defended through civilian massacres. It was observed that other assembly members supported Bergerot's speech with applause.
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
Iranian state television announced on February 28 that 153 students and teachers lost their lives in the attack carried out by the US and Israel on the Shajarat al-Tayyiba Girls' Primary School in the city of Minab, located in Hormozgan province.
