Due to the Ditwah Hurricane, which has been affecting Sri Lanka, the number of fatalities has reached 159, while 203 people are reported missing. Approximately 834,000 people have been affected by the hurricane across 25 districts. President Anura Kumara Dissanayake declared a state of emergency, stating that the country is facing one of the most severe weather disasters in recent years.

The Sri Lanka Disaster Management Center announced that approximately 834,000 people have been affected by the hurricane in 25 districts.

919 SECURITY CENTERS ESTABLISHED
Authorities have established 919 security centers to accommodate those who have been evacuated.
