A steel safe weighing 200 kilograms, stolen two days ago by three suspects in Fatih, Istanbul, was found in an empty lot in Başakşehir. It was determined that the safe contained $10,000, checkbooks, and personal belongings. While the contents of the safe were confirmed to be stolen, the police took action to apprehend the suspects.
Three suspects, who concealed their faces, escaped after stealing a steel safe weighing approximately 200 kilograms containing 10 thousand dollars, checkbooks, and personal belongings from a cargo shop they entered in Fatih early in the morning. The emptied safe was found two days later in an empty lot in Başakşehir.
The incident occurred at a cargo business located in Kumkapı during the night. The three suspects, hiding their faces with masks and hats, broke into the workplace by prying open the shutter with a crowbar. Two suspects, struggling to carry the approximately 200-kilogram steel safe, were assisted by a person waiting outside. The suspects managed to remove the safe from the shop in 4 minutes and fled.
SAFE FOUND IN BAŞAKŞEHİR
Police teams, who started working upon receiving a tip-off, determined that the emptied safe was found abandoned in an empty lot in Başakşehir two days after the incident. It was established that the money, checkbooks, passports, and other personal belongings inside were stolen.
POLICE ARE ON THE TRAIL OF 3 SUSPECTS
Police are continuing their efforts to capture the three suspects, whose identities they are trying to determine based on security cameras and surrounding evidence.
