With the amendment to the regulation published in the Official Gazette, the age limit for service vehicles transporting public personnel has been raised from 19 to 21. The new regulation has come into effect based on the year of manufacture.

Various measures for saving in the public sector continue to be implemented. Instead of purchasing new vehicles to replace those that have reached the end of their service life, it has been decided to extend their service period by an additional 2 years to achieve savings.

AGE LIMIT RAISED FROM 19 TO 21

The Regulation on the Amendment of the Personnel Service Vehicle Management Regulation of Public Institutions and Organizations has been published in the Official Gazette and has come into effect. Accordingly, the vehicles to be used as personnel service vehicles must be under 21 years of age, based on the first calendar year following the date of manufacture from the factory. This limit was previously applied as 19. The provisions of the regulation will be executed by the President.
