According to a statement from the press office of the Iraqi Turkmen Front, Muhammad Seman Ağa officially started his duty with the decree handed to him by President Nizar Amedi at the Presidential Palace.

Iraqi President Nizar Amedi had handed the appointment decree to Muhammad Seman Ağa, the President of the Iraqi Turkmen Front, who was elected as the governor of Kirkuk. The Kirkuk Provincial Council elected Ağa as governor in a session held on April 17, marking the return of the governorship to the Turkmen after nearly 100 years.
