In northern Italy, two people lost their lives due to the crash of an ultralight aircraft on the A21 highway near the city of Brescia.
A light aircraft crashed around 1:00 PM local time in the Castel Mella area of the A21 highway, located near the city of Brescia in northern Italy.
CAUGHT FIRE AFTER THE CRASH: 2 DEAD
In a statement from the fire department, it was reported that the bodies of 2 individuals were found at the scene, and while no vehicles were damaged by the aircraft falling onto the highway, the plane caught fire after the impact.
FIRE SPREAD TO THE WOODED AREA ALONG THE HIGHWAY
It was reported that the fire spread to the wooded area along the highway and that teams quickly intervened in the blaze, while part of the highway was closed to traffic due to the accident.
