On October 29 in Tokat, a vehicle that lost control crashed into a tree. As a result of the accident, 2 people lost their lives while 1 person was injured. 19-year-old Salih Taşkafa and 18-year-old Sevgi Horumdüzü, who were in the car that split in two after hitting the tree, lost their lives, while 20-year-old Muhammet Sütlüer was injured. It was revealed that Sevgi Horumdüzü, one of the deceased, had assaulted a supermarket employee in June. Footage showing Horumdüzü slamming the supermarket employee from wall to wall and pulling her hair had become a topic of discussion on social media. The car, whose driver could not be identified, lost control and crashed into a tree at the Geyraz location on the Tokat-Sivas highway. The car, which rolled over into a field, split in two. Health teams were dispatched to the accident site upon notification from the surrounding people. The health teams determined that Salih Taşkafa and Sevgi Horumdüzü, who were in the car, had died at the scene. The injured Muhammet Sütlüer was taken to Tokat State Hospital by ambulance. An investigation has been launched regarding the accident.
