A woman who was struck by an airplane propeller while taking a photograph has lost her life.

Amanda Gallagher, 37, who was struck by the propeller of a moving plane while taking photographs, passed away in the hospital where she was taken.

The tragic accident occurred on Saturday, October 26, at Cook Airport in Derby, Kansas, when Amanda Gallagher stepped backward while photographing people boarding and disembarking from the plane, resulting in her being hit by the propeller. Emergency services were called to the scene around 3:00 PM, and they transported the seriously injured woman to the hospital, but she could not be saved.

While the investigation into the incident continues, Amanda's friends have launched a fundraising campaign to cover her funeral expenses.

Abbey Charboneau, who organized the campaign, said, "Amanda Gallagher was a kind, adventurous, creative, and beautiful person inside and out. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. We will miss her dearly."

Charboneau continued, "Amanda left us in a tragic accident while doing what she loved most, which is skydiving and taking photographs. Her family needs support with funeral expenses as they try to cope with this tragic loss. Please consider helping them and keeping them in your prayers.
