The tragic accident occurred on Saturday, October 26, at Cook Airport in Derby, Kansas, when Amanda Gallagher stepped backward while photographing people boarding and disembarking from the plane, resulting in her being hit by the propeller. Emergency services were called to the scene around 3:00 PM, and they transported the seriously injured woman to the hospital, but she could not be saved.
While the investigation into the incident continues, Amanda's friends have launched a fundraising campaign to cover her funeral expenses.
Abbey Charboneau, who organized the campaign, said, "Amanda Gallagher was a kind, adventurous, creative, and beautiful person inside and out. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. We will miss her dearly."
