A suspect, who is alleged to have tortured two young people sharing sexual content on social media in Adana with a stick, was released under judicial control by the court to which he was brought. The investigation initiated by the authorities regarding the incident is ongoing.
The suspect, who is alleged to have brutally beaten two young men with a stick while wearing a helmet in Adana, was released by the court under judicial control conditions. It was learned that the suspect defended himself by saying, "The person in the footage is not me."
WORE A HELMET TO AVOID RECOGNITION
According to the allegation, I.E. picked up H.D. and A.T. (22), who were sharing sexual content on social media, from the 19 Mayıs neighborhood in Yüreğir and took them to the side of the Mersin Tarsus-Adana-Gaziantep highway. I.E., who concealed his face with a helmet to avoid recognition, mercilessly beat the young men with a stick.

Another person present with the individuals recorded the moments with a cellphone, capturing the young men pleading, "Please don't do it!" in tears.
RELEASED WITH A ONE-SENTENCE DEFENSE
After the incident came to light, the teams from the Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Department worked to identify and capture the suspect. In the operation, the suspect was caught and detained at a house in Güzelevler neighborhood. In his statement at the police station, the suspect defended himself by saying, "I was not the person in the footage." After his procedures at the police station, I.E. was referred to the courthouse and was released by the court under judicial control conditions.
