Iran has officially announced that if the United States, the United Kingdom, and France attempt to prevent attacks on Israel, their military bases in the Middle East and the Gulf will be targeted. This statement indicates that tensions in the region may escalate further.
The crisis between Israel and Iran continues to escalate. Iranian officials have openly warned countries that support Israel, stating that military bases and warships belonging to the USA, UK, and France in the Middle East and the Gulf could be targeted.
In response to Israel's recent attacks, Iran made statements that further heightened diplomatic and military tensions in the region. Iranian officials stated that they would directly target Western countries if they support Tel Aviv.
"NEGOTIATION HAS BECOME MEANINGLESS"
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Bakayi made important statements regarding the planned negotiations with the USA following Israel's attacks. Bakayi stated, "The step taken by the other side has effectively rendered negotiation and dialogue meaningless," indicating that the USA's tolerance towards Israel has eliminated the ground for dialogue.
SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL FROM THE UK
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer also displayed a clear stance against Iran in an interview with Bloomberg after his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Starmer stated, "We have been concerned about Iran's nuclear program for a long time, and we fully recognize Israel's right to self-defense."
A NEW ERA IN THE MIDDLE EAST
Iran's diplomatic challenge has brought the possibility of a multinational conflict back to the agenda in the region. Experts warn that if Iran carries out its threat against Western countries, the Middle East could turn into a much larger battlefield.
