18-YEAR-OLD YOUNG MAN CRASHED INTO THE SEA
In the incident that occurred around 5:30 PM on the last day of the holiday, 18-year-old Mohammad Al M., a Syrian national, came to Konyaaltı Beach with his friends. After swimming with his friends for a while, he climbed to the edge of the approximately 40-meter-high cliffs.
Here, after joking with his friends for a while, Mohammad let himself fall into the void. The young man jumped uncontrollably and crashed into the water on his stomach. Citizens present on the beach rushed to help the young man, who remained motionless on the water's surface. Upon notification of the situation to the 122 Emergency Call Center, fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The young man, who was pulled out of the water unconscious by citizens, received first aid from the fire and medical teams that arrived at the scene.

The young man, whose heart stopped and who swallowed water, was revived after long efforts by the teams and was taken to Antalya Training and Research Hospital as a serious injury case. It was reported that the young man's condition remained serious.
CITIZENS RUSHED TO HELP
Adnan Kayapınar, who was on the beach at the time of the incident and witnessed the young man's jump from the cliffs, said, "He fell on his stomach on the water. He sank directly to the bottom. Friends nearby pulled him out of the water. When we pulled him out, he was unconscious, and his face was pale. He jumped from the top of the big rocks onto his stomach. Many people wanted to help. The ambulance arrived, and they performed CPR."
Samet Efe Sartaş, who witnessed the events, said, "The boy stayed on the water for a while. No one could pull him out, then those who rushed to help pulled him out of the water. The ambulance arrived, and they performed CPR. Just a moment ago, another boy jumped again."
