A young person who attempted suicide in Mardin accidentally shot his mother first and then himself. The young person's health condition is critical.
H.P. (33), who attempted suicide with a firearm in the Derik district of Mardin, injured his mother N.P. (64), who tried to stop him, in the arm before shooting himself in the chest with the same gun. The incident occurred in the Cevizpınar neighborhood of Derik district. According to reports, H.P. attempted to commit suicide for an unspecified reason. Seeing that her son was going to commit suicide, mother N.P. tried to intervene. When the gun fired, N.P. was accidentally shot in the arm. Following this, H.P. shot himself in the chest.
THE SON'S LIFE IS STILL IN DANGER
Upon hearing the gunshots, nearby citizens alerted the authorities, and health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. After the initial intervention, mother and son were taken to Derik State Hospital. While N.P. was treated there, her son H.P., who was in critical condition, was transferred to Kızıltepe State Hospital. It was reported that H.P.'s life is still in danger, and an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
