A 27-year-old city planner, Kardelen K.Ç., was seriously injured after being trapped under a fallen sign due to a storm in Beyoğlu. The woman, who suffered a brain hemorrhage, was placed under treatment in intensive care.
After having lunch with her friends during the break in Beyoğlu, City Planner Kardelen K.Ç. (27) started walking towards her workplace. While the woman was walking on the sidewalk, she was caught under a sign that was blown over by the storm. The seriously injured woman was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The incident occurred on Thursday, January 8, around 1:15 PM in İstiklal Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, City Planner Kardelen K.Ç. went to a nearby cafeteria with her friends during the lunch break. After having lunch with her friends here, the woman went outside. While starting to walk on the sidewalk towards her workplace with her friends, she was caught under a sign that was blown over by the storm. Friends of the seriously injured woman reported to the health teams. The health teams provided first aid to the injured Kardelen K.Ç. at the scene. The woman was then taken by ambulance to Okmeydanı Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşçıoğlu City Hospital in Şişli for treatment. It was learned that the woman who underwent surgery suffered a brain hemorrhage and had fractures in various parts of her body. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
