In the Palandöken district of Erzurum, a 1.5-year-old baby named Gökçe, who was left alone at home for 4 hours, was rescued by teams who entered through the window. The mother, Büşra D., who could not be reached initially, was taken into custody. In her statement, the mother said she went to the market, lost her phone during that time, and returned home late because she was looking for it. After her statement, she was released, and the baby was handed over to her father.
A baby sound coming from an apartment on the first floor of a building located on 98th Street in the Avni Ulaş neighborhood of Erzurum's Palandöken district startled the neighborhood. Citizens who heard the baby's crying called the 112 Emergency Call Center when they couldn't reach the mother.
THEY ENTERED THROUGH THE WINDOW AND RESCUED BABY GÖKÇE
Upon the notification, health, police, and fire teams were dispatched to the address. After obtaining permission from the on-duty prosecutor, the fire department and police entered by prying open the window they climbed through. The baby, who was taken out of the house and was learned to be 1.5 years old, was handed over to the health teams. The baby, whose name was learned to be Gökçe, was given milk and chocolate by the health teams and was taken to the hospital for a health check.
The mother, who was reported to be in the process of divorce and had recently moved into the apartment, could not be reached despite all efforts. While the police continued their investigation to find the mother, the father, who said he came from Oltu to Erzurum, was called to the Yenişehir Police Station for questioning.
MOTHER'S STATEMENT EMERGED
The mother of baby Gökçe, Büşra D. (32), who was rescued from the house where she was locked for about 4 hours by the police, went to the Family Affairs Bureau of the Palandöken Police Department to give her statement. It was learned that Büşra D. went to the market for shopping while her child was sleeping at home, lost her mobile phone on the way, and returned home late because she was looking for it. Following the instructions of the public prosecutor, Büşra D. was detained on the grounds of 'violation of obligations arising from family law' and was referred to the courthouse after undergoing a health check. After giving her statement to the on-duty public prosecutor, Büşra D. was released.
THE BABY WAS HANDED OVER TO THE FATHER
The public prosecutor ordered that baby Gökçe be handed over to her father, Serdar D. (26). The baby was given to her father after undergoing a health check.
