Speaking at the 25th anniversary of the AK Party, AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Abdullah Özdemir announced the results of the latest surveys conducted in Istanbul. Özdemir stated that the AK Party surpassed the CHP with 44.5 percent, noting that the party achieved a significant upward momentum in its vote share in districts such as Beykoz, Gaziosmanpaşa, and Bayrampaşa.
The AK Party's quarter-century journey is being crowned with a massive rally held at the Capital National Garden with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Ahead of the historic meeting that the whole of Turkey is watching, AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Abdullah Ozdemir, who made special statements to CNN TURK Ankara Representative Dicle Canova, shared the latest vote rates in Istanbul, which President Erdogan described as "my love, my passion".
"AK PARTY IS AGAIN THE FIRST PARTY IN ISTANBUL"
Sharing the latest survey data they commissioned across Istanbul, Provincial Chairman Abdullah Ozdemir stated that the AK Party's vote rate in the city has surpassed that of the CHP. Ozdemir summarized the reason for this picture with the following words: "In the latest polls conducted in Istanbul, the AK Party has come out on top. While the AK Party is at 44.5 percent, the CHP is around 40 percent. People in Istanbul did not receive the service they expected. We see that the city has not progressed since 2019, but has actually gone backwards. Our citizens have clearly seen the difference in service between AK Party municipalities and non-AK Party municipalities."
SHARP RISE IN VOTE RATES IN 3 DISTRICTS
Stating that they conduct field analysis on data at regular intervals, Ozdemir shared the striking changes in votes in the districts that changed hands between parties after the local elections, with figures:
- Beykoz: "When we took office, the AK Party was at 43 percent and the CHP was at 42 percent in Beykoz. Currently, the AK Party has increased its vote from 43 percent to 56 percent. The second party has dropped to around 20 percent."
- Gaziosmanpasa: "We experienced a similar process of change in Gaziosmanpasa. In this district, where we were behind, we have now increased the difference to 7-8 points."
- Bayrampasa: "We clearly see the same momentum and picture in our Bayrampasa district. What is important is that the demands and expectations of our citizens at the local level are met completely."
"OUR ORGANIZATION AND YOUTH STRENGTH ARE VERY POWERFUL"
Drawing attention to the AK Party's dynamism and organizational structure in the field, Ozdemir emphasized the power of the party's organs and said, "The AK Party has a very special organizational structure. It is a party where both our women's branches and our youth branches are very strong. We have a very vibrant youth network."
