The TFF Legal Consultancy announced the PFDK referrals for the 23rd week of the Trendyol Super League. Adana Demirspor, which withdrew from the field during the Galatasaray match, and its president Murat Sancak were included in the referral list.
After the completion of the 23rd week in the Trendyol Super League, the referrals made to the Professional Football Discipline Board by the Legal Consultancy of the Turkish Football Federation were announced.
ADANA DEMİRSPOR AND MURAT SANCAK REFERRED TO PFDK
The TFF Legal Consultancy referred Adana Demirspor and its president Murat Sancak to the PFDK. In a statement on the TFF's website, it was noted that Adana Demirspor was sent to the PFDK for leaving the match that had started against Galatasaray. It was also reported that Adana Demirspor Club President Murat Sancak was sent for disciplinary action with precautionary measures due to unsportsmanlike conduct in the same match.
TFF'S STATEMENT
The part of the statement made by the TFF regarding Adana Demirspor and President Murat Sancak is as follows;
"Due to the 'leaving the match that had started' of ADANA DEMİRSPOR A.Ş. Club in the match played on 09.02.2025 between GALATASARAY A.Ş.-ADANA DEMİRSPOR A.Ş. in the Trendyol Super League Şamil Ekinci Season, it has been decided to refer them to the PFDK in accordance with Article 24/1-a of the Football Match Regulations,
Due to the 'unsportsmanlike conduct' of ADANA DEMİRSPOR A.Ş. Club President MURAT SANCAK in the same match, it has been decided to refer him to the PFDK with precautionary measures starting from 11.02.2025 in accordance with Article 36 of the Football Discipline Regulations,
It has been decided to refer ADANA DEMİRSPOR A.Ş. Club administrator CİHAN ELİÇİÇEK to the PFDK with precautionary measures starting from 11.02.2025 due to 'unsportsmanlike conduct' in the same match in accordance with Article 36 of the Football Discipline Regulations."
PFDK MEETING ON THURSDAY
The decision regarding the Galatasaray-Adana Demirspor match, which was interrupted due to the visiting team's withdrawal, will be announced after the PFDK meeting to be held on Thursday, February 13. In the controversial match, Galatasaray will be declared the winner with a score of 3-0 and the 3 points will be added to their tally. Additionally, according to regulations, Adana Demirspor will have 3 points deducted.
INCIDENTS DURING THE INTERRUPTED MATCH
Galatasaray faced Adana Demirspor at RAMS Park in the 23rd week of the Super League. The yellow-reds won a penalty in the 11th minute when Mertens was brought down in the penalty area. Although the visiting team protested this penalty intensely, the decision was not changed. In the 12th minute, Alvaro Morata, who took the penalty, scored and put his team ahead 1-0. While the match continued with the home team's superiority, in the 30th minute, Yusuf Barasi fell to the ground due to injury in an area without the ball. During this time, a discussion took place between Adana Demirspor players and head coach Mustafa Alper Avcı. After this discussion, in the 34th minute, captain Semih Güler called out to his teammates, saying, "We are withdrawing from the field," and they headed towards the corridor. Later, the referee team also went to the dressing room. Approximately 25 minutes later, it was announced in the stadium that the Galatasaray-Adana Demirspor match was suspended by referee Oğuzhan Çakır.
