A person working as a security guard at a logistics company secretly placed listening and recording devices in the boss's office. When the boss noticed the device in his office and told the employee who installed it that he would be fired, the angry individual took his gun and came to the workplace. The person fired multiple shots at the boss's door and was subsequently detained.
In an incident that occurred around 10:30 at a logistics company located in the Esenkent neighborhood of Maltepe district in Istanbul, I.K., who worked as a private security guard at the company, secretly placed listening and recording devices in the office of his boss, Fehmi Karcı.
DEVICES PLACED IN THE BOSS'S OFFICE WERE NOTICED
After noticing the device placed in his office, Karcı discovered through his investigation that I.K. had installed it. Calling I.K. to his office, Karcı told him that what he did was wrong and that he would fire him. Angered by this, I.K. threatened to kill Karcı with a gun, insulted him, and left the workplace.
POLICE PRESENCE PREVENTED A TRAGEDY
Following the events, Fehmi Karcı called the police to explain the situation. Upon the 'armed threat' report, police teams dispatched to the scene began to gather information in Karcı's office. Shortly after, I.K. arrived at the workplace with his gun and headed towards Karcı's office. To prevent the armed individual from entering the room, the door was closed by the police and Karcı. In response, I.K. fired approximately 10 shots at the door.
SPECIAL OPERATIONS DETAINED THE SUSPECT
Reinforcement police teams, special operations police, and fire brigade were dispatched to the scene. After a brief struggle, the individual was detained by the police. The bullets fired by the suspect hit the workplace's window, but there were no injuries or fatalities in the incident. The police investigation regarding the incident is ongoing.
