Salim Güran, the muhtar (headman) of Tavşantepe Neighborhood and also the uncle of Narin, has been taken into custody. Following the uncle, Yüksel Güran, Narin's mother, was also taken to the police station to give her statement. Arif Güran, Narin Güran's father, who made an evaluation about the matter, said, "They will call the muhtar and also call me and her mother for statements. Our intention is to find our daughter."
The investigation into 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district in Diyarbakır, continues. The search efforts are intensively carried out both from the air and on the ground, and as part of the investigation, Narin's uncle S.G and mother Yüksel Güran were taken into custody to give their statements. Following this development that caused a sensation, Narin's father Arif Güran made a remarkable statement.
"THEY CAN CALL THE HEADMAN, ME, AND HER MOTHER"
Güran, stating that his brother and wife were not arrested, but taken to the police station only to give their statements, said, "They can call the headman for a statement, they can call me and her mother. Why this defamation? Our intention is to find our daughter. If my son is guilty, if I am guilty, it is up to the state to decide. We are waiting. They said the same thing about my son. They said Narin lost her tooth, it's a lie. Whatever the governorship announces today is true. Whatever news comes out on social media or elsewhere is false, they are making false accusations," he said.
"DON'T HURT US ON SOCIAL MEDIA"
Güran, who said, "Can't the headman of the village go and give a statement, or can't he go for someone else, can't he go for his own statement?" added, "We are also waiting like you. We can't sleep, we can't eat. Our minds are not in the right place, don't hurt us on social media. Being called for a statement is natural. We are devastated. And when we see news like this. We can't use our phones right now, it's embarrassing. We are here. The other day I was a little unwell, I went to the hospital, they said my father had a heart attack. Things like that. The state is doing what is necessary," he said.
