Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli made a new statement following his remarks at the party's group meeting yesterday, which resonated in the public.
Bahçeli had called for "the right to hope" for Abdullah Öcalan and "freedom" for the imprisoned former Co-Chair of the HDP, Selahattin Demirtaş, during his party's weekly group meeting yesterday.
"FROM NOW ON, IT'S UP TO THE GOVERNMENT"
While Bahçeli's statements made an impact in the public, a new statement came from the MHP leader.
Responding to questions from journalist Murat Yetkin, Bahçeli stated, "We have expressed our opinion. We believe these will be beneficial. From now on, it is up to the government."
Bahçeli also emphasized that he did not make these remarks due to the agreement signed between the Syrian government and the SDF.
Expressing that they want peace in Anatolia, the MHP leader stated, "We see the steps to be taken as beneficial."
