Bahçeli, whose words have been widely debated, made a new statement saying, "We have expressed our opinion. From now on, it is up to the government to decide."

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli made a new statement following his remarks at the party's group meeting yesterday, which resonated in the public.

Bahçeli had called for "the right to hope" for Abdullah Öcalan and "freedom" for the imprisoned former Co-Chair of the HDP, Selahattin Demirtaş, during his party's weekly group meeting yesterday.
