Jordan's Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Yarub al-Kudat, stated in a statement to the Jordanian official agency PETRA that trucks will be allowed to cross from the Jaber Border Crossing into Syria starting this morning.

Kudat noted that the decision to allow trucks to enter Syrian territory would assist in the flow of commercial goods and the movement of cargo between Jordan and Syria.
Minister Kudat expressed that he will visit the border crossing and the Jordan-Syria Joint Free Zone tomorrow to review the progress of business, procedures, and regulations related to the trade process between the two countries.

Jordan's Interior Minister Mazin al-Furaye announced that the Jaber Border Crossing between the two countries was closed on December 6 due to the security situation in southern Syria.
