Last week, the Interior Minister was changed with the decree signed by President Erdoğan. Mustafa Çiftçi took the ministerial seat, replacing Ali Yerlikaya. Following Çiftçi, 3 new deputy ministers were also appointed to the Interior Ministry.

In this context, the name of Deputy General Director of Security Mahmut Çorumlu is coming to the forefront. It is stated that Çorumlu is known for his operations against FETÖ and organized crime groups during his tenure as the head of the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department (KOM), and that he will contribute to positive renewal in the police due to his experience.
