The significant support for Donald Trump has driven liberal media members and Kamala Harris supporters almost to madness as the Republican candidate approaches victory in the U.S. presidential elections. MSNBC commentator Joy Reid had a meltdown on live television over Florida's overwhelming support for Trump. Reid accused the state of being "under the control of an extreme right-wing, fascist-type government." "Think about what Trump has said on television in the last two weeks," Reid said, growing increasingly angry as she continued: "The crude language he uses in front of families with small children, the threats of mass deportation, and the violent rhetoric that borders on dictatorship from day one..." Reid told her colleagues at MSNBC that she couldn't understand how Trump could receive support from half the population despite his controversial stances: "If he is getting half the votes despite all this, what does that say about us? We need to stop and think." Regarding Florida's early shift to Trump, Reid said, "Florida is a complete miniature of Project 2025. Does this extreme right-wing, fascist-type administration make Florida a more attractive place?" After Texas shifted to Trump, Reid claimed that Black voters in Houston were "seriously under pressure" and attributed North Carolina's shift to Trump to "white female voters." Former White House Communications Director Nicole Wallace claimed that despite Trump leading in the polls and winning two swing states, the race is still "too close to call."
