The results of the central exam within the scope of the Transition to High Schools System (LGS) were announced yesterday. Out of 1 million 10 thousand 916 candidates who applied for the exam, 963 thousand 142 participated, resulting in a participation rate of 95.27%. According to the exam results, 719 students scored a perfect 500 points by answering all questions correctly. Following this, allegations of "irregularities" and "fraud" regarding the exam process were raised in some media outlets and social media platforms.
The Ministry of National Education (MEB) stated that these allegations do not reflect the truth and that a criminal complaint has been filed against those who made these claims.
"THE LGS WAS CONDUCTED WITHOUT ANY ISSUES"
In a written statement from MEB, the following expressions were included:
"In some media outlets and social media platforms, baseless claims and implications of irregularities regarding the exam process have been raised based on the fact that '719 of our students scored full points and ranked first' in the 2025 Transition to High Schools System (LGS) central exam. It has been deemed necessary to make the following statement regarding these unfounded allegations."
The central exam within the scope of the 2025 Transition to High Schools System was conducted smoothly on June 15, 2025, with the intense dedication of our teachers and administrators both domestically and abroad.
The exam was conducted in two sessions, verbal and numerical, and the questions were prepared by academics, field experts, and experienced teachers based on the achievements outlined in the 8th-grade curriculum.
The central exam within the scope of the 2025 Transition to High Schools System, in which 719 of our students scored full points from 544 schools across the country, was conducted transparently and in accordance with measurement and evaluation principles, as in previous years.
"SOME MALICIOUS INDIVIDUALS CONTINUE TO CREATE DISINFORMATION"
Following the exam, the public was informed with detailed explanations by our Ministry, and all incoming objections were meticulously examined. Despite all these explanations, some malicious individuals who exploit the feelings of our students and families for personal gain continue to mislead the public with speculations such as "Some students I spoke to said the exam was difficult. Despite their claims of difficulty, there cannot be 719 students who answered all questions correctly." and continue to create disinformation with absurd fabrications like "There are 300 students in one province who answered all questions correctly."
As the Ministry of National Education, we would like to emphasize once again that every stage of all exams, including the LGS, has been conducted with great care and diligence. Protecting the rights and sacrifices of our students, parents, and teachers is our Ministry's top priority.
"WE INVITE THOSE WHO MAKE SLANDEROUS ALLEGATIONS TO BE SENSITIVE"
In light of this importance, we once again invite those who make these unfounded, inconsistent, and slanderous allegations to act sensitively by empathizing. We recommend that they reconsider the moral and ethical aspects of engaging in politics and trying to gain advantage by occupying the national agenda with these allegations, which affect the feelings and expectations of our children.
"A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT HAS BEEN FILED"
At this stage, we would also like to share that a criminal complaint has been filed by our Ministry against those who have made such misleading allegations despite all our statements.
We kindly request that no attention be paid to false information and comments that would overshadow the hard work and achievements of our teachers, education staff, and students regarding this process.
