The first statement after the meeting focused on "Imralı" held by the AK Party came from the AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler. Güler said, "We have evaluated it with our friends, and we have a positive outlook on the Imralı issue. The name of the person who will go to Imralı is not yet determined; it will be evaluated."

After the words of MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, "If necessary, I will go to İmralı," the AK Party has made its decision regarding "İmralı."

In a closed group meeting chaired by AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala, the opinions of the members of parliament regarding going to İmralı were gathered. The meeting, which started around 15:20, lasted approximately one hour.

"THIS IS A LISTENING, THERE MAY NOT BE A NEED FOR A VOTE IN THE COMMISSION"

In statements made after the meeting, AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler said, "We evaluated with our friends. We have a positive view on the İmralı issue. This is a listening, there may not be a need for a vote in the commission. The name that will go to İmralı is not yet clear, it will be evaluated. If there is a vote in the commission, we will vote positively as the AK Party," he stated.

SURPRISE MEETING BEFORE THE MEETING

On the other hand, prior to the meeting, MHP Group Deputy Chairman Erkan Akçay and MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız visited the AK Party group in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Akçay and Yıldız met with AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler. MHP's Yıldız, in a statement to the press after the meeting, said, "Our meeting was not about tomorrow's meeting. We exchanged views on a matter related to law," he said.

"SIMPLE MAJORITY IS SUFFICIENT SINCE THERE IS NO BILL"

Yıldız, regarding the vote that the TBMM National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission will hold tomorrow about the visit to İmralı in line with the goal of a 'Terror-free Turkey', stated, "Since there is no bill, a simple majority is sufficient. There is no need to discuss this, it is very clear," he said.
