In Zonguldak, a vehicle that lost control crashed into a wall at the Uzunkum Tunnels. The 20-year-old driver and his 16-year-old passenger were seriously injured in the accident. The car's engine was thrown several meters forward due to the impact, and it was observed that the speedometer was stuck at 200.
A horrific accident occurred late at night in the Uzunkum Tunnels in Zonguldak. The car driven by M.A. (20) lost control for an undetermined reason while heading towards Kilimli inside the Uzunkum Tunnel.
2 PEOPLE SERIOUSLY INJURED
The swerving vehicle violently crashed into the wall of the tunnel. In the accident, the driver M.A. (20) and passenger N.E.D. (16) were seriously injured. It was learned that both injured individuals, who were taken to the hospital after the first intervention by the medical teams dispatched to the scene, were in critical condition.
SPEEDOMETER STUCK AT 200
The car was almost totaled due to the accident, with the engine thrown several meters away. It was observed that the vehicle's speedometer was stuck at 200. While the injured were being treated at Atatürk State Hospital, the vehicle, which suffered material damage, was towed away from the accident scene.
After cleaning efforts, the road was reopened to traffic.
