AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik made strong criticisms against the Republican People's Party (CHP). In a statement on his social media account, Çelik referred to the discussions within the CHP alongside the presidential candidacy debate, saying, "We see an increasingly fierce competition among the politicians at the head of different factions within the CHP. This concerns them."
"THEY ARE RESORTING TO ILLEGITIMATE METHODS"
Continuing his statement, Çelik said, "However, their efforts to continue this competition by targeting our President, our AK Party, and our People's Alliance are futile," and added, "We see that the representatives of this factional politics are resorting to many illegitimate methods that we can call political manipulation and false politics in order to be addressed by our President. These are not methods of producing politics; they are forms of political ineptitude, and there is not even a second of space for them in our President's agenda."

Çelik also wrote, "The policies that our President has implemented while carrying our country towards the goals of the Turkey Century are a source of inspiration even for important leaders on the world political stage. The factional competitions within the CHP are nothing more than a part of the history of political ineptitude."
