Former Minister of Forestry and Water Affairs Veysel Eroğlu has been appointed as the Special Representative of the Republic of Iraq. The decision has been published in the Official Gazette and has come into effect.
New appointment decisions were also included in the Official Gazette published with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. According to the decisions made, a new task was assigned to former minister Veysel Eroğlu.
HE BECAME THE SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF IRAQ
Veysel Eroğlu, who served as the Minister of Forestry and Water Affairs between 2011 and 2018, has been appointed as the Special Representative of the Republic of Iraq.
ANOTHER APPOINTMENT
Additionally, an appointment was made to the vacant position of Board Member at the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. Turan Kuloğlu was appointed to this position.
WHO IS VEYSEL EROĞLU?
Veysel Eroğlu was born on August 18, 1948, in Afyonkarahisar. He graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Istanbul Technical University and the Department of History at Istanbul University, and he completed his doctorate at Istanbul Technical University.
He conducted research on education in the Netherlands. He became an Associate Professor in 1984 and a Professor in 1991. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Istanbul Technical University.
In his political career, he was first elected as a member of parliament for Afyonkarahisar. In 2007, he was appointed as the Minister of Environment and Forestry. He served as the Minister of Forestry and Water Affairs in the 61st government.
