In a process where the court's 'absolute nullity' decision reinstated Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu as the CHP Chairman and 'purge' moves within the party are being discussed, striking allegations have emerged about Aydın Deputy Bülent Tezcan. It is claimed that Tezcan, who was one of the party's key aides during the Kılıçdaroğlu era but later shifted his allegiance to the Ekrem İmamoğlu and Özgür Özel partnership, effectively turned the Kuşadası and Çankaya municipalities into a family enterprise.
ALLEGATION OF NEPOTISM IN KUŞADASI MUNICIPALITY
In the network of relationships scrutinized amid the new process within the party, it is alleged that Bülent Tezcan's first-degree relatives have been entrenched in the CHP-run Kuşadası Municipality. The allegations regarding the Tezcan family's positions in the municipality are as follows:
- Younger Daughter (Öykü Tezcan): It is claimed that Öykü Tezcan, an architect, has been working at the Kuşadası Municipality Zoning Directorate since last year.
- Elder Daughter and Son-in-law (Ezgi Tezcan Yaşar - Umut Yaşar): Despite being salaried lawyers of Kuşadası Municipality, it is alleged that they have been handling the municipality's legal processes externally by obtaining power of attorney for several years.
- Nephews (Gökhan Tezcan - Bahar Tezcan): It is claimed that Bülent Tezcan's two nephews are also employed as staff within the same municipality.
ALLEGATION: 'SHE RECEIVED SALARY FOR 7 YEARS WITHOUT EVEN PASSING BY THE MUNICIPALITY'
It is alleged that the scope of nepotism claims is not limited to Kuşadası. It is claimed that Bülent Tezcan's lawyer wife, Süheyla Demir Tezcan, was placed as 'Head of Private Secretariat' in another CHP-run municipality, Çankaya Municipality, from an exceptional staff position 7 years ago. It is alleged that Süheyla Demir Tezcan, who is said to have been recruited to the civil servant position without an exam, has been regularly receiving a salary since 2018 without even passing by the municipality, a situation that has drawn public backlash.
