Füsun Enserçakan claimed that a debt of 5,000 lira was turned into a promissory note for 1 million lira. The prosecutor's office has filed a lawsuit against Hasan Yıldırım for the crime of 'usury.'
The fraud allegations that occurred in Menemen, İzmir, have caused a significant public outcry. It has been claimed that brothers Hasan and Nuri Yıldırım have defrauded many people, including an elderly man and a woman. The incident has been taken to court along with social media posts.
MILLION-DOLLAR FRAUD UNDER THE PROMISE OF A TAXI PLATE
According to the allegation, 54-year-old Cengiz Ünal agreed with brothers Hasan and Nuri Yıldırım to sell his villa in Menemen. The parties agreed on a taxi plate and 300 thousand lira in exchange for the villa. However, despite sending 3 million lira to his account as per the agreement, Ünal neither received the plate nor got his money back. Even more strikingly, the money was shown in posts made on TikTok, which was presented to the prosecutor's office as one of the elements proving that Ünal was defrauded. Ünal filed a criminal complaint with the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
5 THOUSAND LIRA DEBT TURNED INTO A NIGHTMARE
According to a report in Sabah, not only Ünal but also 61-year-old Füsun Enserçakan has filed a complaint against the Yıldırım brothers. Allegedly, after returning from Cyprus and being unable to find a job, Enserçakan borrowed 5 thousand lira from Hasan Yıldırım. However, it was claimed that there was a forgery on the debt note, and the debt amount was increased to 300 thousand lira. Enserçakan stated that this amount has now reached 1 million lira with interest, saying, "Despite paying off the debt, precautionary measures were placed on the lands inherited from my mother. I have been victimized, and I am in a difficult situation. I trust in justice."
A LAWSUIT FOR USURY HAS BEEN FILED AGAINST YILDIRIM
Upon Enserçakan's complaint, the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has filed a lawsuit against Hasan Yıldırım on charges of 'usury'.
