After the statements regarding Afyonkarahisar Mayor Burcu Köksal's potential move to the AK Party, it was claimed that some mayors from CHP and DEM Party are also waiting for permission to switch parties. AK Party's Savcı Sayan said, "A metropolitan mayor from CHP, a district mayor from Istanbul, and a mayor from DEM Party wish to join our AK Party."
AK Party member Savcı Sayan made claims that stirred political circles with a statement on his social media account. Sayan alleged that after Burcu Köksal's participation in the AK Party, other mayors are also in line to change parties.

Sayan, noting that he was criticized when he previously said Burcu Köksal would switch to the AK Party, said, "Months ago, when I said 'My source is solid, Burcu Köksal will join our AK Party,' you lynched me. Today, she is joining our party. Welcome to our midst."
In his statement, Sayan claimed that a metropolitan mayor from the CHP and a district mayor from Istanbul are waiting for permission from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to join the AK Party.

Savcı Sayan also claimed in his statement that a mayor from the DEM Party wants to join the AK Party. Sayan concluded his statement with the words, "We will all see together in the coming days."
