The U.S. Ambassador to Ankara and Special Representative for Iraq and Syria, Tom Barrack, held separate meetings with KRG Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, KRG President Nechirvan Barzani, KDP President Masoud Barzani, PUK President Bafel Talabani, and KRG Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani.

MET WITH MASOUD, NECHIRVAN, AND MASRUR BARZANI
In a post on his social media account regarding his meetings with Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrur Barzani, KRG President Nechirvan Barzani, and KDP President Masoud Barzani, Barrack stated, "We share a common understanding of a stable, sovereign, and prosperous Iraq and the support for US President Donald Trump's new vision for the Middle East. Our discussions advanced critical opportunities regarding energy, the economy, and the future of relations between Erbil and Baghdad."

Regarding his meeting with PUK President Bafel Talabani and KRG Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani, Barrack said, "On behalf of US President Donald Trump, I was pleased to host Bafel Talabani and Qubad Talabani to discuss our interests in building a strong and mutually beneficial US-Iraq partnership, including our enduring friendship with the KRG. I welcomed their vital contributions to enabling Iraq to effectively maintain its sovereignty and fully realize the potential of its partnership with the United States."
